Goal
and all that. I've probably posted a picture or two centring around my local hockey stadium, can't get enough of those lights.

Contrast
Having slicked back hair and a face that looks like it has been on a month long bender (which it hasn't) much like the bright and cherry contrast between the red and blue.

Trolley
The joy that you experience hurtling down aisles slick with linoleum toward the colour packed shelving units gridded in harmony.

Fuel
Things I learnt from last night/today
-Taking pictures in supermarkets is assumed industrial espionage
-Everything has a heightened level of hilarity when you are exhausted
-Fake blood is not the best thing to get in your hair

Friday
Time for forgetting to post and realising you didn't post on Tuesday but making up for it by posting a picture of cheese.

Mess
Pretty much what my art is this year a random mess of iconography and poorly thought out concepts.

Blocking
It's a picture of a school block with colour blocking, oh the puns excuse my terrible humour and my inadequacy of writing anything worth reading. Here goes a rant about University, Scholarships and tastes for Architecture. All of the previous things are closely linked and after sometime of wanting to become a doctor then finding out I faint at blood, my hate for sewing, the list goes on, I have thought about studying Architecture at University. After reading Hapsical's posts on architecture over the past year my eye has been moving toward harsher and more minimal buildings that resonate with an ugly (but beautiful) strength. However in the world of applying for tertiary education an admiration for said buildings doesn't mean you are going to be any bit capable of undertaking the design of one nor does it mean you understand Architecture. So I'm just going to get my A into G and get writing for my Auckland University Scholarship and put together a portfolio filled with childish paintings, pretentious sculptures and sketches of brutalist buildings like the Barbican and hope for the best i.e I get into the Architectural Studies course.
Here goes nothing

The Ball
It rears its head again an in about 18 hours I will be stepping through a lacklustre entrance way that will signal the start of cooing and superficial ah-ing to where said dress has come from and why those diamontes look so real (sarcasm), oh and don't forget the moment where one has to lie about how "good' and "natural" those spray tans look. Even though I may have a few qualms with it, it is an experience that I wouldn't not go to.
The picture above is what I am wearing tonight (Tuxedo Shirt, Tuxedo Pants, Cummerbund, Waistcoat, Tartan -poorly self constructed- bowtie and finally the Tail Coat) I know how unorignal and cliche of me. I was going to be repping the Pelayo look but thought I wasn't bad ass enough (pardon the colloquialism, I don't even know if I'm being serious at the moment).
So I shall snap some pictures, down some ball food and get profusely hot in the multiple layers of cliché-dom. Have a good weekend, I might, and I'll post on Sunday. TTFN

Crossings
It took me many years to look both ways before I cross the road, before that I was nearly run over countless times. The more you know

Writing an essay at the moment which is due in tomorrow and I still need to pack. Enjoy the melancholic state housing whilst I get myself worked into a rut.
SIDENOTE: From my 7d, still need to get a better lens to realise the full potential of my camera.

Onwards and Upwards
With a new camera in tow, two more finished paintings and even more maps (I still need more, also I need some bags for sculpture) it seems like this year is finally falling into place. I'll put up some of the pictures I have taken with my 7d sometime soon.
