School Corners
That moment when you bump into the other person in a hallway/corridor because you are both trying to get the inside line (to borrow some terminology from my Sundays watching A1GP and motorcycle racing)

Lamps
I've always found any type of light at night rather comforting whether it is while you look out your car window and gaze into the distance (like a Hollywood film but with more integrity) and marvel at the surrounding orbs of red, white and yellow or perhaps the glow that emanates from the corners of window sills.
It probably stems from my fear of the dark when I was little, I had dolphin lamp that bathed my room in an ombre of aqua and cyan it was wondrous in a childish sense of the word. Which makes me think that we should take sometime to enjoy the things we rush past, it will only take a moment and make you feel a heck of a lot better.
Its going on the list

Home Exercise
Something I should be doing but don't have/want to find the time for. I used to run a lot e.g 10 kms every 2nd or 3rd day but then I got busy and just didn't have the time to anymore.

Stage
I'm off to Wellington to do my speech whilst I finish my write up for drama. Never in my life have I hated inner actions as much as I do now
The photo is from the year 12 drama production at Girls' High I was in.

Broken Glass
Bought somethings today I felt I needed them. Which reminds me this was a self style blog before right? Hmmm oh well you and I know my picture taking is better than my clothing taste, so enjoy and have a great day or night where ever you are

Get it, get it. Lame joke I know anyway have fun and enjoy the rain (it is the best soundtrack to sleep especially when it is teamed with Damien Rice)

No (comparatively) big write up I have drama homework to do, lets just say 6 weeks of work needs to be done in the space of 8 hours. Ugh

Library
The library in my town/city/what ever it is was featured in an architecture magazine (when it was first built) and to be honest is probably one of the few buildings I actually like and am proud of saying belongs to my hometown.
The most notable parts are the little corners that isolate you from the ironic din that seems to seep into the concrete and resonate off the industrial piping that is used for cladding and decorating this space
Happy reading

Friday
1 out of 3 things I planned for today were followed through and to be honest watching Havoc in the Garden (a play about one day in suburbia that would further define, break and heal the lives of those who lived in it, not their words just my pretentious ramble) by Massive was the best. Which, if I understood correctly is touring New Zealand and those who can see it should.
Raising my own havoc in the only way I know by drinking tea and hot chocolates excessively and trawling the internet. Rebellion.

THE BALL
It isn't till August but I was sifting through my photos and thought this was a rather good representation of the "ball" experience; bright lights, couples, milling groups of people and that awkward moment when the ball gets closed for the night and you are left not knowing when you should exit. So those who haven't gone yet (or never did) you didn't miss out on much.
That said I never miss one and this year tartan is in order, following a silver suit and lego bowtie from the previous year and an over the top bow the year before that.
But most importantly I hope you have a ball tomorrow if you know what I mean

Today
As I was checking my social media accounts (superficial I know) I noticed the influx of bloggers especially those in the field of fashion mentioning the quake and tsunami in Japan and the amount of disconnect there was between the real world and the fashion world. However it is not time to dwell but to move on, rebuild, live again and remember those who fatefully never got to see the sun again.

Speeches
Just finished the Cyril Basset VC Speech Competition which was really cool and met some great people who spoke with such passion I feel honoured that I won. So next next week I am going to be popping off to Wellington to recite it at the national competition.
This picture was from the women's debate at AUSTRALS held in the Trinity Church where Sir Ed's funeral was held at.

Ex-Mil
Now my school bag as it fits A3 folders (horizontally) which is incredibly helpful when you do multiple art subjects. It was actually shot during Pitti by Tommy Ton (I would give you the link but I have no idea where it is) which made me by some correlation Tommy Ton worthy. Making the shtick I get for this bag worth it.
POST 150 Oh yeah

The Night Shift
Staying up to 12 isn't healthy especially when you wake up at 6. Neither is risking the wrath of your passive aggressive teacher.

Video Still.
So I gave that clip another go and it turned out really good (well I hope, I'll hear the verdict later). It is a mix between my really dirty and gritty clip work and my birthday project titled 17th which can be found on my Vimeo. So I hope you enjoy and I will post this sometime in the future as it needs a bit of editing before it's ready.

The shame of defeat has truly come, my attempt at making a clothing commercial failed on the meagre pixel density of a Sony Cybershot and just inherent flaws on my part.
So instead of getting a clip (that looked great in my head, it had a split screen and close ups on garment details etc) you get this self portrait. Enjoy and have a great weekend
SIDENOTE: Just realised the previous picture has a very close colour pallet to this one, sorry about that. My walls are all taupe because somehow it is meant to be a good wall colour...

Parking
Is something that always seems to be at a lost when you're in need of one (which doesn't really apply to me, I haven't got a licence not even my learners, terrible I know I've heard it before) which begs the question, why not just shop in non peak times? Personally I love CBDs when they are deserted as there is a sense of peace but at the same time uncomfortableness that makes walking the pavement more like an adventure rather than a trip to get some eggs.
So why not go and shop at 4 on a Thursday and then spend sometime after that exploring your city/town/metropolis/hovel (that one depends on your attitude to your town) and soak up the stillness.
