School
Even though I may have not liked my school at times, I am rather fond of it. Not in a I would love to go back there and spend another year toiling away at boards, essays and speeches, I've paid my dues, but rather in a hazy nostalgic way that scrubs over the immediate shit that you had to deal with and leaves an idealised image in your head like a lofty summer dream.

Performing Arts
This maybe my last instalment of my photo essay on my school's refurbished Performing Arts Building, but who knows. I still have a tonne of pictures that I love (that are from my pictures of this) but they might just not be in this series. Anywho you can look at the others here and see the development yourself.
SIDENOTE: Sorry I haven't had time to put them into a page so just follow the links.

Cross-Country
Haven't taken part in cross-country in two years. So I thought I should this year (as it is my last) which was a good idea. Getting 13th in year 13 oh the coincidence.
However I did have time to snap some pictures of the junior and intermediate races before mine.

It's Finished
After sometime I thought I should update my sporadic and somewhat disjointed photo-essay on the renovation of my school's Drama and Music facilitates.
What you are looking at now I think is the entry point to the whole thing. Personally I think something was definitely lost in the renovation of this historic building which is disappointing.
 Time are a changing.
I'll take some pictures of the finished product in the future sometime when and if I get my camera which may solve this noise problem, it may even feature some of my drama and/or sculpture work... so that's cool right?
If you would like you can take a whirlwind tour of my "essay"(I just can stop with the pretension) here. Oh and don't forget to enjoy and have a great Tuesday night you know I am. (Me, having a life, pish cosh)

DIVE-SWIM-WIN
Today was swimming sports at my school and instead of competing (I can't swim to save myself although I can swim) I was "the resident photographer" as one teacher put it. I'm still editing my first batch, I say first batch as there are like 520 something of them to review-select-edit (my version of DIVE-SWIM-WIN) so expect some-more of these to hit your shore. A breakdown is so imminent

Demo/Reno
A continuance of a photo essay (I suppose a disjointed one at that) of Whangarei Boys' High School's Music and Drama facilities, formerly the school hall and gym. However even after these alterations there are future plans to develop this into a sports pavilion by the Old Boys' Association. Hopefully I'll be there documenting that transition as well
The previous photo can be found here and just follow the rabbit hole from there

"Back to School"
Don't you just admire the way stationary companies pump out the "Back to School" sales, it is perfect commercialism of something you needed to get anyway. I usually go to the same store every year and buy what the list says this year it is just a sizeable amount of refill and maybe a new folder/binder.
I went through so many types of editing on this one picture. Finally the idea of just drawing on top of it came to me (I know not a great or different idea) the rucksack is actually the one I wear to school and it is about twice the width of my body as it is ex-military (not that hipster *expletive*) which comes in handy when carting around all my books and A3 folders.
This is what I would wear to school if it wasn't an all uniform school, as it has the right amount of slickness and casual comfort to help you last a day in class. Anyway I'm rambling, hope you enjoy and have fun stationary shopping, I'm off to watch an exceptionally bad/good sci-fi show along the line of Eureka. Rambling again.

SIDENOTE: This is an artistic representation (read not at all accurate) of my drama room that is being renovated for the new year
